And non-natives regularly improve it: think Beatles, Stones, Nico and John Cale in the Velvets, Slits, Raincoats, Neu!, Can. Who knows how much Hinds’ off-handed magnificence has to do with their roots as Madrileños, and how much is merely the mystic universal science of group chemistry and spirit?
