I remember listening to this album on my grandparents old console record player/radio. It was one of those that looked like a piece of furniture, they don’t make them like that anymore.
They also don’t make records like this anymore. If you see the Let It Be movie you can tell the Beatles were on the verge of breaking up and I think this record reflects some of that raw emotion. It doesn’t have all the technical wizardry of Sargent Pepper or the wide ranging styles of the White Album. Let It Be has a sort of basic, throwback vibe to it and is one of my favorites.
Get Let It Be because it’s good and on Vinyl it’s even better.
