Fender has released a George Benson Signature amp.
The main difference I can see with this amp, besides cosmetics, is it uses a 12AT7 preamp tube in V1 for a cleaner tone. 12AT7s, while being lower gain, are not generally thought of as good for tone beyond the phase inverter. I haven’t heard this amp but I think it’s a bit of a strange choice. There are current production 12AY7 tubes that i would have thought might work better. The 12AY7 were used in old tweed Fender amps.
